Winter 2022 — 5 weeks — Exhibition and Installation Design
Teamed with Ashten Alexander and Edith Freeman

Textiles produce 35% of the microplastic pollution in the world’s oceans, making textiles the largest known source of marine microplastic pollution. When washed, synthetic clothing sheds tiny plastic fragments known as microfibers. Microfibers are the most prevalent type of microplastic found in the environment, with over 2.2 million tons of microfibers that shed from our laundry enter the ocean each year. Fin-stallation is a storefront installation that aims to educate viewers about the detrimental environmental impact of laundry microfiber pollution.
